LCHS Academic Team : Wednesdays after school
Our next practice will be January 11, 2012, when we will begin practicing for the Roane State History Bowl.  The history bowl is a part of the Roane State Academic Festival which will be March 27 and 28, 2012.  The history bowl will likely be Wednesday, March 28.   Last year the team finished second in the competition.

Anyone interested in participating with the Academic Team is welcome to join the practices in the library after school next January.  Teams consist of four players competing against players from other schools.

The team competed in the ETnPBS Scholars' Bowl Tournament  to aired in January/February.   The entire tournament will air on ETnPBS (channels 2 or 15) beginning the first Monday in January, 2012.  Each match will be aired at 6 p.m. on the public broadcasting station.  The program is 30 minutes in length.

Any student interested in jeopardy-like competiton is welcome to join the team.  We consist of all grade levels and all interests.  Come join us!
